Let's dive into a few of my favorite north alabama wedding venues.

But wait, are you new here?
Hi, I'm kaleigh!
I'm an Alabama and Indiana Wedding photographer based mostly out of Huntsville, Alabama. Being someone that has shot over 50 weddings, I've met several amazing venues and vendors throughout my photography journey. If you're planning your big love celebration and need vendor recommendations (not just venues), check out my wedding page here!
If you're still on the search for a photographer that will not only document your big day, but also be your biggest cheerleader, dance partner, personal assistant, therapist, dress bustler, and shoulder to cry on... I'm your girl! I would love to chat!
now, let's get into why you're really here. With no further ado, here are my top 5 north alabama wedding venues!
No. 5 North Alabama Wedding Venue -
Pickett Place - Florence, Alabama
Enjoy a few film photos of a wedding that I recently second shot at Pickett Place. Picket Place is in-between downtown Florence, Alabama and the University of North Alabama. Both the small downtown and nearby college are gorgeous, which offers a little retreat from the venue if you're looking for different texture with your wedding photos. However, if you choose to spend the entire wedding day at pickett place, you will not be disappointed!
The getting ready spaces are located on the second floor, which provides privacy and the ability to peek at who arrives and leaves the venue. the bridal suite and groom suite are beautifully designed, both in function and appeal. The designers also left no crumbs; both The bridal and groom suite bathrooms are stunning. The two spaces are separated by an upstairs kitchen and foyer that opens onto the balcony. Once you head downstairs, you'll be greeted by all the gorgeous side rooms that provide several different atmospheres. We're talking bright white rooms with vintage art and furniture. We're also talking dark green rooms with a large dining table and bar.
If you're a bride that's looking for a more eclectic and vintage venue, this one is for you. The interior ceremony space is both clean and welcoming. The outdoor spaces are just as welcoming. Some of my favorite aspects of Pickett Place include the front porch area with the fountain, the back fenced in area that truly gives European vibes, and the gold framed paintings in the front room.
On top of the venue being absolutely beautiful, the staff is incredibly accommodating. You can bring in your own vendors, which is always a huge plus as well. The place is always clean and ready to go for your wedding crew and additional guest.

No. 4 North Alabama Wedding Venue -
The Glass House - Skyline, Alabama
The glass house is one of the venues that feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. And honestly, sometimes we like it that way! The seclusion is met with the breath-taking north alabama landscape. This venue gives access to not only the TikTok viral glass house, but also an open field that's sometimes filled with grazing cows and a bluff that looks over the rolling Appalachian hills. Previously, I have only been the videographer at the Glass House, so please enjoy a wedding video that captures all the beauty of this space.
The only slight con is that the getting ready space is a little bit of a trip to the venue space. In the alabama heat, that can be less than desirable. But the venue makes up for it with the floor to ceiling windows that brings the outdoors in. Whether that's the spring blooms or the autumn leaves, you can never really go wrong!
If the weather calls for it, you can also have your ceremony outdoors in front of the glass house, under the trees. However, if you choose to have your ceremony inside, the space will need to flipped between the ceremony and reception. The covered area on the side of the venue is perfect for a "cocktail hour". It even includes a cute drink cart/hitch with the perfect neon sign - "This Must be the place". The only caveat is that alcohol is not permitted at the glass house.

No. 3 North Alabama Wedding Venue -
Burritt on the Mountain - Huntsville, Alabama
Not pictured above is the number one reason that most people book Burritt on the mountain... The view! Burritt on the mountain is nestled at the top of monte Sano in Huntsville, Alabama. The venue offers 4 major spaces - the Mansion (which is the first and second photo above), the main building (the lower three photos), the covered pad which has a fireplace, and the overlook. On you wedding day, you have equal access to all of these stunning spots! I've seen it where the ceremony is at the overlook and the reception is in the main building. I've also seen it where the ceremony is at the mansion, the cocktail hour and dance floor are at the overlook, and the dinner is inside the main building. There are tons of options to fit your wedding day aesthetic!
If you're a bride that wants a ton of candid getting ready shots and pj pictures, the getting ready space at the venue might not be ideal. It might be better to book an airbnb and then head to burritt once you're ready to slip into your dress! Outside of that, this place is a one-stop shop for any other wedding day events.
The main reason why I rank Burritt so high on my wedding venue list is because of how friendly the the staff is, you can bring in your own vendors, and the textures are endless for wedding photos. Between the lush greenery, the overlook, the mansion, the fountain, the gazebo... the options are almost endless. A Majority of vendors consider Burritt to be a luxury venue, which means your vendors are truly ready to play ball when it comes to fulfilling your vision.

No. 2 North Alabama Wedding Venue -
Harvest Hollow - Harvest, Alabama
Harvest Hollow is truly one of those venues that I can never get enough of. I'll say it with my chest - I could shoot here every weekend, and it would never get old. Just like Burritt on the Mountain, Harvest Hollow is one of those magical venues that offers up endless spaces to make your wedding day truly yours. Between the covered pad, the wooded area with strung lights, the main building, and all the spaces in-between, Harvest Hollow is high on my recommendation list.
When getting ready, the guys and girls are completely separated. Not only by rooms, but by floors! The girls get ready in the upstairs loft that is flooded with natural light while the guys can drink beer and play video games in the downstairs suite. Speaking of the natural light, that is something that Harvest Hollow does that no other venue can seem to duplicate while also giving that barn feel. The sunlight that pours into that building is close to perfection.
What truly sets harvest hollow apart, in my opinion, is their staff. Not only do they make sure the space is ready for your arrival, they're there all day with open arms and a huge smiles on their faces. They love and remember all their couples! Harvest Hollow is also one of those venues that allows you to bring your own vendors, which is always a huge plus!

No. 1 North Alabama Wedding Venue -
Lumpkin House - Albertville, Alabama
The Lumpkin House is new to the list of north alabama venues. But I tell you what, it does not disappoint. The owners of the lumpkin House didn't cut any corners when it came to the design. Every detail was though of and executed beautifully. The lumpkin house includes the main house and a backyard/patio area. The owner's home is also on the property, which is pictured in the two center photos above. Although you cannot go inside, the exterior is a stunning backdrop for any photo.
This luxury venue is not only luxury because of its looks, but because of the staff. I have never seen a venue staff work harder for their clients than I have at the lumpkin house. Either that's flipping a room between the ceremony and the reception or feeding the bride peanut butter and peppermint oil to help with nausea before walking down the aisle. They are truly rockstars.
Some of my favorite secret spots at the lumpkin house for photos include the women's bathroom (I know, sounds strange... but trust me), the side pathway between the front to the back of the venue, and the little outdoor stairway from the venue backyard to the owner's backyard.
